So, recently I was on holiday as some of you know. It was so nice to go away with my boyfriend, his parents, his sister and one of her friends. We were staying in Kessingland, Lowestoft in the caravan, but me and jack slept outside in the awning. I have visited Great Yarmouth for the last 6 years or so and the beaches are lovely and there is a lot to do so I was pretty excited for the week.
Well all the fun starts here right? well… we broke down, and had to wait for three hours to even be seen by the RAC tow truck. We were caught in the sun, and my patience was dwindling very fast with two loud 12 year old girls. We left at 10am and we broke down at 12, rescued at 3pm and didn’t arrive till half four. EVERYONE and I mean everyone was staring at us being brought in by a huge tow truck with the car and pulling the caravan. We set up and were shattered I was so burnt though.
Now that we had no car to travel around in, and we weren’t very close to any main town or anything. Luckily we had some food, sausages, bacon, eggs, beans. So fry ups were on the menu. We went for a long walk to see what was around, we came across a co-op so we could at least grab some more food. Chloe, Sian, Jack and myself went for a game of crazy golf, and I can assure you nothing was crazy about it at all, except me when I was winning until hole 9. Grrrrr. Anyway, Chloe finished last with 40, Jack came 3rd with 35, I came 2nd with 33 and Sian won with 30! We had fish and chips for dinner and although we had done nothing, I was still so tired.
We had found a car to hire and went into Yarmouth for the day. We went around the whole town and into most shops, it was a lovely day, very hot and I should have worn shorts or a dress. I bought some lovely little things too, and we enjoyed some hot dogs on the pier. We went to Gorleston for the afternoon and the beach was just lovely and there were not many people which was nice too.
Everyone wanted to go swimming but I wasn’t feeling up to it, so me and Jack decided to get the bus into Lowestoft town centre, to see what we could do. There wasn’t much but it was a nice day out again, in the hot sun. I bought a lovely new tee from New Look, in the sale for £4 and a couple of make up bits. That evening we went to the local pub round the corner from the camp-site, we had a couple of drinks and a few rounds of pool, a lovely relaxing end to the day.
We headed back into Yarmouth for the day and went to Pleasure Beach. I went on the Log flume with Sian and Jacks mum, and we got soaked, we were not prepared for getting that wet. It looked like we had stepped out of the shower clothed! But it was so sunny and we dried off soon enough. The girls went on the twister and they kept knocking into each other and ended up in lots of bruises! We went on Mulan and I thought my head was going to fall off of my shoulders, my neck hurt so much. We went on the Waltzers too, which was new for me. That evening we went to watch the entertainment.
Because of all of the early starts and late nights, I was so tired and I wasn’t feeling too well so I decided to sleep in for ages. Then before I knew it, it was dinner time and we were off to Lowestoft to have dinner, we went to Wetherspoons and I had a lovely pasta dish, and chocolate cake. When we got back, me and Jack took a walk to the beach which was quite relaxing. We went to the entertainment that night and there was some lovely girls called The Honeypies singing, they were very good. Me and Jack went and had one of those Gough Workshop Photo things done and we picked the one of us messing around.
We spent our Sunday on the beach and went into Great Yarmouth, we went to the Sea-Life centre and had so much fun! The girls went swimming in Yarmouth and me and Jack spent some quality time together which was nice. Sunday evening Jack and I went to watch some entertainment which was great!
